Fukushima Sixth Anniversary and the conflicting Information surrounding It

Tomorrow is going to be sixth anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan that lead to the nuclear disaster in Fukushima. I already wrote about this two months ago and questioned what we are being told about radiation.

Conflicting Information

The information we’ve received about Fukushima is fairly conflicting in my opinion. The Dai-ichi plant is supposedly still leaking radiation and has been doing so for five years, yet we haven’t seen any grand scale environmental disaster or health problems due to it. Certainly the Japanese government and media suppressed some information relating to Fukushima, and there have been reports of health issues in some Japanese people, mutated vegetables and other alarming, yet not obviously disastrous issues. When the Fukushima disaster occurred, I was expecting tons of obvious health issues, mutations and whatnot to occur in Japan. Something so drastic that it cannot be covered up. Yet life in most parts of Japan goes on as normal.

In my opinion there is a great deal we are not being told. Either about Fukushima itself or about nuclear power. Just last month Fox News reported that the radiation level are at “unimaginable” levels, and the “highest they’ve been since 2011 when a tsunami hit the coastal reactor”. I’ve been seeing reports like this every now and then since 2011. It seems to me that either the reports are wrong, or that radiation isn’t as harmful as we’ve been lead to believe. There have also been several claims over the years that Tokyo should not be inhabited anymore or that it will become uninhabited in X years.

On the other hand, plenty of main stream media outlets are saying that radiation from Fukushima is not a big deal.

I don’t know what is going on, except that the information we are getting is contradictory. Therefore I will propose a few different possibilities for what is going on. Some of them are more fringe than others.

Theories on what is going on

One possibility is as I suggested in my previous article, “How do we know that Radioactivity is actually harmful?”, that maybe radiation really is not as harmful as they claim. It might even have beneficial qualities to it. I should remind of the late nuclear engineer, Galen Winsor, who claimed that uranium is not harmful. He even ate some of it in front of a video camera. Maybe he was lying, maybe he was a fraud but he seems credible to me, and suggest seeing some of his videos on Youtube.

Another possibility on Fukushima is that maybe Tepco actually managed to clean up most of the damage caused by the nuclear accident, and the reports in the media that claim the reactor is still leaking are disinformation to cause fear or for other reasons. Alternatively, maybe someone or something else had cleaned site. Perhaps nature has an effective method of diluting the harmful effects of nuclear waste and radiation. Or maybe it was friendly aliens. I don’t find this a credible possibility, but it is still a possibility.

Then again, maybe all we’ve been told about nuclear power is a lie. Maybe they never even split the atom, and atom bombs and nuclear power plants use a different kind of technology that we haven’t been told of. I recall reading about a conspiracy theory on the internet long time ago that claims atom bombs are a hoax. It has resurfaced recently. Even back then I thought the claim is so far off I don’t think anyone would make it up just for the purposes of disinformation. It probably has some truth to it. If this is true, then nuclear power plants probably produce electricity through a method other than nuclear fission.

I don’t know what is going on with Fukushima and nuclear power in general, but if it is not as bad as it seems, it’s good news. Maybe Japan’s environment wasn’t as devastated as I and many others thought by the disaster. The effects of radiation could be more subtle, though, and only manifest in a very obvious way only after years. However, it seems to me we are not getting the whole story. On one side the media is saying, it’s nothing, don’t worry about it, and on the other they are saying that it’s still leaking and the radiation levels are getting worse.

How do we know that Radioactivity is actually harmful?

It’s almost f̶i̶v̶e̶  six years since the earthquake-tsunami and the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan, and I’ve been wondering about nuclear power and radioactive radiation that is allegedly very harmful to us. Suddenly I had flash of insight, I should go back to the beginning, Pierre and Marie Curie and their discovery, radium.

Death of the Curies

I had always thought that they discovered radium, and died soon after of radiation poisoning. I think that’s because of what they said on The Simpsons once. However, according to Wikipedia, they did not die of radiation poisoning. Pierre Curie died by slipping and falling under a horse-drawn cart. A wheel ran over his head and he died. This was in 1906. Marie Curie died in 1934, almost thirty years later, from aplastic anemia, which is some sort of rare bone marrow disease. The disease was “believed” to have been contracted from long-term exposure to radiation.

Wikipedia does mention that both Curies had had radium burns, and that “[h]ad Pierre Curie not been killed as he was, it is likely that he would have eventually died of the effects of radiation”. I find this claim questionable, since his wife managed to live a long time after prolong exposure with radiation. Her health may have been adversely affected by radiation, but all things considering she managed to withstand its effects fairly well.

I find Pierre Curie’s death suspicious. He died in a traffic accident, allegedly. Or perhaps he was silenced. The section in Wikipedia on the death Marie has a curious comment as well: “Because of their levels of radioactive contamination, her papers from the 1890s are considered too dangerous to handle. Even her cookbook is highly radioactive.” Sure, all of this might be factual, then again perhaps the books contain information The Powers That Be don’t want us knowing.

Is Radioactivity really Toxic?

We’ve all been indoctrinated since children to be wary of radioactive substances. We recognize the logo and the green glow that is synonymous with a toxic that can kill us by its mere presence.

Yet hardly anyone of us has actually seen radium, plutonium or any of these substances ourselves, and never will since access to them is highly restricted. And if they are as toxic as we are told, I’m fine with that, but how do we know we’ve been told the truth? It may sound like a silly notion to even suggest that radioactive substances aren’t harmful to humans, but take a step back. How do you know? You’ve just been told they are.

Those who have been paying attention already know we’ve been lied about countless things ranging from the Moon Landing, 9/11, the shape of the earth, the Holocaust, and even the notion of our origin, that there is no divine design anywhere involved in the creation of us and the world. Compared to these lies, the nature of radioactive substances doesn’t sound like such a big one.

There was a man, Galen Winsor, who was involved in building lots of nuclear power plants in America, but later he started holding lectures telling people that plutonium is not toxic. Maybe he was crazy, maybe he was lying, or maybe he was telling the truth.

Looking into the Curies and radium I found out that there used to be some sort of medical industry in the late 19th century and early 20th century using therapy based on radioactive substances, including radium. Wikipedia calls this quackery.

Maybe these things were mere snake oil, or even harmful quackery, or maybe they actually worked and the medical establishment of the day felt threatened by a medicine that actually works. I just want to point out that there was an alternative narrative to radioactivity back in the day.

Modern science, according to the almighty Wikipedia, has no use for radium except in nuclear medicine, which is some method of scanning the human body, similar yet different to X-ray.

These are just suggestions and observations that I discussed here regarding radiation. I am not stating it as absolute fact that radioactive radiation, or radium or plutonium are harmless to people. I am not advising anyone to get into contact with them. Still I do think there is some sort of cover-up regarding radium and other similar subtances. It may not be that they are actually good for health instead of being toxic, but something else.

Even if I’m wrong about this, I still do think it is prudent to question everything. And I do mean everything. Even simple facts like “everyone knows radioactivity is bad for you”.
